Whitfield School is seeking a motivated, self-starting individual interested in pursuing a leadership position in the technology field for the 2017-18 school year. For the experienced candidate, this new position will immediately help shape the IT vision of a forward-thinking 1:1 laptop school; for more entry-level applicants, this position will resemble a desktop support specialist with opportunities to grow into leadership responsibilities. Requirements include an interest in participating in a diverse and inclusive community, strong attention to detail, ability to think (and act) critically and compassionately, a desire to work with students beyond the normal school day through activities or athletics, and the experience necessary to accomplish the primary responsibilities described below.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a full-time, year-round position that will manage Whitfield's deployment of 600 Windows 10 laptops, and will be the primary point of support for students, faculty, and staff. Day-to-day responsibilities include imaging laptops, troubleshooting a variety of tech issues, supporting AV operations, maintaining the school's hardware and software inventory, collaborating with colleagues, and building strong relationships with—and implementing training for—students, staff, and parents.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR GROWTH
Additional opportunities may include managing infrastructure projects, growing the school's R & D capability, consulting across multiple departments, shaping the financial work and business strategy involved in the school's evolving 1:1 laptop program, and collaborating with faculty to integrate IT-related skills into the classroom. As the school's STEAM programming evolves, knowledge of maker resources, fabrication, design thinking, or computer science will be a plus. Advanced degrees or certifications also a plus.

Assistant Director of Technology is a new position that will be part of a team led by Director of Technology Matt DiGiulio. Please send cover letter and resume electronically to: mdigiulio@whitfieldschool.org.
