Trinity Valley School is actively seeking an experienced professional for the full-time position of Educational Technology/Technical Support Specialist. This individual will ideally possess the following qualities:  a thorough knowledge of his/her discipline, passion for teaching and supporting educators, knowledge of varied pedagogies, and the leadership qualities to inspire, motivate, and develop.

 

Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree is required and teaching experience is preferred.

Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in a mixed platform educational environment including but not limited to: Apple’s OS X and IOS Operating Systems, Microsoft Windows (Versions 7 and 10) handheld devices, Google Suite for Education, a Learning Management System (LMS) preferably Canvas, Rubicon Atlas, Adobe design software, Office productivity software, Office 365, computer hardware and peripherals, printers, projectors, and digital signage. Network support, database information systems, audio-visual equipment experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Actively participate in classroom integration, curriculum development, and other school programs.
  2. Assist school colleagues with their programs including, but not limited to, technology installation, technology instruction, etc.
  3. Manage the campus Helpdesk system in support of the school community.
  4. Monitor and respond to the help desk system to provide daily technical support to faculty, staff and students, and analyzes and reports on Help Desk performance.
  5. Work with end­ users and vendors to troubleshoot hardware, software and connectivity issues. Perform equipment maintenance as necessary.
  6. Maintain timely and accurate helpdesk records to end user training needs, identify patterns, and systemic problems.
  7. Document internal procedures necessary to assist the Technology Department with maintenance and administration of all servers, and virtual servers, including; authentication, security, file, web, database, email, and active directory.
  8. Maintain, support, and deploy all student and faculty/staff related technology equipment. Equipment may include, but is not limited to: laptop and desktop computers, printers, Apple TVs, iPads, SMART interactive whiteboards, document cameras, scanners, copiers, projectors, televisions, digital signage monitors, media players, and smartphones.
  9. Provide setup and support for performances and events held at the school.
  10. Keep Technology Department storage and work areas orderly and secure.
  11. Other duties and community involvement as required by TVS.
  12. Provides support with expertise in the technology used by the school including hardware, software, and database systems such as Renweb and Canvas.

  4. Ability to evaluate tools and instructional practices in light of broader academic goals.
  5. Enjoys collaborating with community members regarding potential technology needs, and developing, marketing and providing both group and one-on-one training opportunities.
  6. Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively, is self-directed, flexible, and organized.
  7. Excellent Time management skills.

The ideal candidate has the ability to work with individuals with a range of technological expertise in a courteous and professional manner while maintaining a focus on exceptional customer service.

Working Conditions

  1. Work may involve exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
  2. Work involves physical effort. Requires occasional handling of heavy objects and the ability to regularly stand, walk, and climb stairs. Must be able to lift 50lbs.

Other Conditions of Employment

Must have smartphone and a willingness to handle emergencies on a 24 hour basis.
