In this challenging role, you will support the Computer Technology department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following:

 

-Teach courses in the Computer Technology department including network administration, programming, and systems administration

 

-Prepare lectures/syllabi

 

-Implement course curriculum and develop/implement new classroom strategies

 

-Adhere to college and department guidelines and requirements

 

-Prepare, implement, and manage students in classroom instruction in both traditional and alternative delivery systems using a variety of methods related to network administration, programming, and systems administration field

 

-Design tests/exams, assign/post grades, and advise students on academic progress

 

-Assist in recruitment/placement of students

 

-Prepare/submit administrative reports

 

-Keep current in technical/professional knowledge through professional development

 

-Perform other duties as assigned

Anticipated start date:  January 2, 2018

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
-Master's degree with a major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Technology, Information Systems, or a related field; or 

 

-Any Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Technology, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field; or

 

-Master of Business Administration degree with current professional certifications in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Technology, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

-Doctorate or Master degree with a major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Technology, Information Systems, or a related field; OR Doctorate or Master degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Technology, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field; OR Doctor of Business Administration or Master of Business Administration degree with current professional certifications in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Technology, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.

 

-Relevant teaching experience in a student focused institution of higher education environment. 

 

-Professional certifications in networking, programming, or computer systems.
