Overview:
160+ year old non-profit religious organization & private day school located in Southwest Houston is looking to fill the position of IT Specialist on our campus. The candidate will report directly to the Campus Technology Director. The IT Specialist will support and maintain a mix of Windows/Apple systems and software. Candidate must be a highly motivated individual who is determined to “Add Value” and “Make a Difference” in supporting over 300 clients. The IT Specialist will be able to troubleshoot problems in a timely/accurate fashion and provide end user training/assistance when required.

Responsibilities:

  • Configure new workstations and laptops for users (Including periodic roll out of replacement workstations based on age)
  • Image and deploy PC images with various imaging technologies
  • Handle the creation and maintenance of all IT accounts, including Active Directory and MS Exchange
  • Maintain inventory of all IT related hardware
  • Perform software refresh on PC and Mac systems
  • Setup and deploy Lexmark, HP, Xerox printers
  • Experience with Promethean and BrightLink technologies
  • Assist with mobile device setup
  • Be familiar with AppleScript
  • Provide Audio-Visual support as needed for streaming
  • Liaise with vendors and third-party support
  • Manage Mac software as follows:
    • Installation, maintenance, and management of JAMF Casper Suite
    • Creating, deploying and maintaining software bundles and packages
    • Creating, deploying and maintaining Client OS image
    • Installing, maintaining and troubleshoot OS X Server
    • Creating and deploying apps for iOS devices
    • Extensive knowledge of the Mac OS file system

Preferred experience a plus:

  • Apple Hardware- laptops, tablets, workstations and smart phones
  • JAMF Casper management and deployment
  • VMWare Fusion
  • Practical experience with Active Directory services
  • Experience with automation and scripting
  • Network + Certification
  • Apple Certifications
  • Salesforce Administrator
  • Familiar with MM2000 and Salesforce CRM systems

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • 3-5+ years of experience of  Windows Desktop Support with a strong understanding of software and hardware implementation
  • 3-5+ years of experience of supporting Apple OS X  and iOS
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows 10
  • Possess excellent troubleshooting skills with attention to details (able to think outside the box)
  • Is proactive and addresses minor concerns before they become major problems
  • Have authorization to work in US (no sponsorship), have valid driver’s license, and be able to pass a background check and drug test (no exceptions).
