University Liggett School, a PreK-12 independent school of 600 students, seeks a Technology Integrator to support student learning and faculty professional growth in the middle school.

The position includes advising in the middle school and working with middle school clubs. We seek a high energy, creative educator with expertise on how technology supports pedagogy. Attention to detail, a sense of humor, patience, and flexibility are ideal characteristics.

The candidate should appreciate and possess the ability to foster the educational chaos in which middle schools thrive with a balance of control and organization. 

Responsibilities include:
 
  • Promote technology use and opportunities that support faculty and students in teaching and learning.
  • Teach 1-2 courses – specifically Digital Citizenship, and look for opportunities to develop further computer science programming.
  • Lead extra-curricular activities, such as Middle School Robotics and/or Maker Club.
  • Provide teachers with ongoing professional development that enhances instruction and teaches technical skills.
  • Inspire, encourage, and support Middle School faculty with creative and interdisciplinary technology projects.
  • Design, promote, and facilitate professional development initiatives.
  • Train students, faculty, and administration to use hardware or software in one-on-one or group settings.
  • Maintain online training modules for faculty, students, and parents.
  • Manage the system of maintenance and use for shared divisional technology such as iPads, laptops, Chromebooks, and peripheral devices.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and support software and hardware.
  • Collaborate with members of the Technology Department, and various members of faculty and administration across all divisions.
  • Possess knowledge of Maker education and the tools that support it.
 
This is a full-time, 10-month faculty position that requires two weeks of technology preparation at the beginning and end of the school year.
