Randolph-Macon Academy is seeking a Technology Education Teacher for the Upper School for the 2017-18 School Year.

Position Responsibilities:

Bring cutting edge technology to the classroom to spark student interest and desire to learn
Liaison for Faculty and IT Department utilitizing a collaborative learning style
Proactively assist faculty with developing teaching methodologies using technology advancements
Facilitiate project-based learning through technology
Teach 1-2 computer language or application courses to high school students
Engage in activities that enhance the department’s rapport with area high schools, industry partners and 4 year institutions

Must enjoy working with High School age students – must be creative, consistent, empathetic and dynamic
Master’s degree in computer science or related field
Working knowledge of Upper School age students, developmental needs, and how to connect
Proven ability to teach computer science to students and adults
Ability to guide and relate to teenagers in a positive manner
Leadership skills and strong communication skills
Prefer private school experience
