Lisa Lamont is a lifelong learner and believes in challenging herself to always take new risks and learn things. Currently she is the Educational Technology Specialist and Middle School Game Design and Programming Teacher at Windward School in West Los Angeles. She began at Windward in 2009 working to incorporate technology and active learning into the science curriculum. In 2012 Lisa began working to incorporate authentic learning experiences into the science classroom, including an in-depth Challenge Based Learning project in 7th grade.


In 2013 she transitioned to the Center for Teaching and Learning where she supports and trains faculty, helping them to create meaningful, technology rich experiences for students. She believes in teaching “Any Century” skills and creating a culture of solutionaries who are ready to tackle the problems of tomorrow.


She continues to work extensively with middle school science to refine and improve Challenge Based Learning in the curriculum.  Lisa has presented at several conferences including ATLIS, AAPT and InTELA Tech Day, USM Summer Spark and San Diego CUE. She holds a Bachelors in Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics from UCLA and a Masters in Educational Technology and Media Leadership from CSULB.
