Westminster Hires CIO to Lead Mission-Critical Department

Westminster, a Christian pre-first through grade 12 school with over 1,870 students, nearly 300 faculty, and 180+ acres, announces the hiring of Torrey Williams as its next chief information officer.  Mr. Williams has extensive industry and nonprofit experience as a technology director and leader, and will take over a mission-critical department at one of the largest K-12 schools in the country.

This position reports to the head of school.

Meet the new leader

Torrey Williams

Torrey joined Westminster as Chief Information Officer in July 2019 after serving as Director of Technology for Guardian Pharmacy in Atlanta. He holds a BS in Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech. A native of Columbia, South Carolina, Torrey began his technology career with internships at NCR and National Data Corporation. His technology roles have run the gamut from coding, consulting, infrastructure and network design to cloud computing and team leadership. Service to the community has always been at the forefront of Torrey's career in technology; he has served as Director of Technology for the Atlanta Community Food Bank, as well as earlier roles in senior engineering for TechBridge. Torrey enjoys spending time and traveling with his wife and two sons, preferably to a destination with a nice beach.
