K-5 School in Silicon Valley Brings Innovator from Chicago to Lead Tech Program
Phillips Brooks SchoolPhillips Brooks School, a K-5 school in Menlo Park, CA, announces the hiring of Lane Young to oversee all areas of IT and instructional technology. Mr. Young has significant experience in library and educational technology administration at multiple Midwest independent schools.
This new position reports to the director of teaching and learning.
Meet the new leader
Lane comes into this restructured role with thirteen years as an educator under his belt, including six years of experience as the Director of Library and Educational Technology at North Shore Country Day School in Winnetka, Ill. At North Shore, Lane also chaired the Social–Emotional Learning Study Group and the All-School Community Committee for the school’s recent accreditation self-study. Lane earned his bachelor’s degree in history and his elementary and middle school education certification from Beloit College. Experienced in curricular development and versed in technology integration, Lane is well suited to helm our technology efforts.
