Sun Valley Community School, a was excited to hire a director of educational technology and innovation to begin July 1, 2022. The role is integral in redefining and reshaping the educational technology landscape of the school. Sun Valley Community School understands the power of technology and the increasing importance of digital competency in our students’ lives, within our classrooms and beyond. Over the last few years the technology program has expanded both instructionally and operationally, and the school sees more opportunities for growth and improvement. For this reason, Sun Valley Community School sought an aspirational, innovative, and motivated person who is ready, willing, and able to reshape the future of the technology program with the support of the head of school, leadership team, and board of trustees. The director serves as a member of the school’s leadership team, reports to the head of school, and is a vital part of the school's programs.

Sun Valley Community School was thrilled to hire Claudia Mihm to this position in early 2022, for a start date of July 1, 2022. The director of educational technology and innovation reports to the head of school.

Meet the new leader

Claudia Mihm

Claudia holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Tufts University, and a Masters of Education: Technology, Innovation, and Education from Harvard University.  Claudia has worked as an educator, researcher, and consultant in a variety of educational, consulting, and nonprofit environments.  Claudia has designed and implemented innovative engineering projects, worked with teams to define educational strategy, ran educational programs including mentorship programs, and led technology-centric efforts that span multiple business units.
