The Allen-Stevenson School is actively seeking a full-time Academic Technology Integrator to support the School’s faculty and students in their use of technology for teaching and learning. Qualified candidates will have early childhood or elementary teaching experience, a love of working with elementary school students, and demonstrated success teaching technology skills in K-4 classrooms.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 
  • Deliver technology-integrated lessons that support technology across the curriculum in grades K-4. Technology curriculum includes, but is not limited to, word processing, media creation, digital fluency/citizenship, coding, and robotics.
  • Collaborate with the technology team to develop and teach an innovative, integrated, and engaging technology–rich scope and sequence to all grade levels.
  • Partner with classroom teachers to bring technology scope and sequence into curriculum both peer to peer as well as through weekly grade-level and division meetings.
  • Work alongside grade-level teams to develop skills assessment tools for student progress in digital literacy and technology in grades K-4.
  • Remain current in issues and trends in elementary educational technology and bring this knowledge to fellow faculty.
  • Assist in the training of faculty, staff, and administration in the use of the school's hardware and software resources.
  • Provide assistance in configuring and troubleshooting individual computers (both hardware and software), iOS devices, printers, presentation hardware (projectors, Apple TV's, SMART Boards, etc.), and other various technology-related equipment.
  • Act as a resource in troubleshooting user's Microsoft, Apple, cloud-based and other software applications employed by the School.
 
 
Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in early childhood or elementary education
  • Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a K-4 setting.
  • Demonstrated skills in using Apple laptops and iOS devices
 
This is a full-time position reporting to the Division Head and Director of Strategic Planning & Learning Initiatives. The position will begin at the start of the 2016-2017 school year. Salary is commensurate with experience.
