North Shore Country Day School, a JK-12 independent school near Chicago, seeks candidates for an anticipated Academic Technology Integrator opening slated to start in July of 2019.  The position will be focused on working with teachers and students in our Middle (Grades 6-8) and Upper School Divisions (Grades 9-12). While a bachelor’s degree is required, a master’s degree in a related area such as educational technology or instructional/curriculum design is preferred. North Shore is eager to consider applications from groups traditionally underrepresented in independent school communities.

We seek candidates with three or more years of experience in helping faculty and students re-envision teaching and learning through the lens of contemporary educational technology and other innovative tools and practices.  Past experience in working with and leading teacher/student instruction with makerspace tools is essential.

Ideal candidates will be believers and cultivators of the ‘growth mindset,’ excellent written and oral communicators, highly collaborative and valued colleagues, and life-long learners who are committed to their own ongoing professional development and that of others. We seek candidates who have invested in growing their intercultural competencies and whose work – inside and outside the classroom - reflect those competencies.

Candidates are asked to submit a cover letter specific to the role at North Shore Country Day School, a resume, a written statement detailing their philosophy/approach to their work, and a listing of professional references (it is helpful to know the context in which the reference worked with the candidate and have both email and phone contact information for each reference). All information should be submitted to electronically to careers@nscds.org

North Shore offers competitive salaries that are commensurate with experience. Additionally, North Shore provides an excellent employee benefits program, including health and retirement benefits, tuition support for children’s attendance at North Shore, and professional development funding to support summer study, attendance at conferences/workshops, travel, and advanced degree work. For more information about North Shore Country Day School and the opportunities available for members of our faculty, please go towww.nscds.org/careers. We are fully committed to a culturally diverse faculty and student body.
