School Overview:
Carroll School is a dynamic independent day school for elementary and middle school students who have been diagnosed with language-based learning disabilities, such as dyslexia.
Position Summary:
This position is a member of the Carroll Academic Technology Department, providing services to students and teachers of the school regarding the application of educational technology in the classroom environment.
Responsibilities:
Help create a vision for the role technology should play in the lives of students and teachers at Carroll.
Be part of a team that helps decide what software students and teachers could use to enhance students’ learning.
Assess training needs; develop and deliver workshops and user-friendly documentation.
Research and implement educational applications for the school’s Chromebook and iPad programs.
Stay informed about educational technology developments through lists, publications, and conferences.
Support use of educational technology amongst teachers and students on both campuses, through direct collaboration with teachers and students.
Support the running of the Learning Commons & Fabrication Lab, a 21st century learning space with a focus on technology.
Be part of a team that designs and implements a technology curriculum for students and teachers.
Qualifications:
2 years experience working in Educational Technology.
Proficient with Google Apps for Education and Apple iPads.
Knowledge of classroom A/V and technology equipment.
Enjoys working with students and faculty to create a positive educational environment
