The primary objective of this position is to maintain high quality, efficient delivery of instructional courses and materials using a variety of technology systems, including distance and online systems. This position is responsible for the troubleshooting, maintenance, and inventory of classroom and instructional distance delivery resources and equipment. This position assists faculty with multimedia instruction using various technology and systems. This position provides day to day support to faculty, instructors, staff, and students in the operation and use of instructional technology systems, including classroom and distance settings. This position may work after hours and/or on weekends. It also includes travel throughout the college service area and to meetings as needed. The position requires the ability to report to the campus in Fort Morgan within 20 minutes after regular working hours as needed.

Required Qualifications:  

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university in a technology-related field. A combination of experience and/or education may substitute for the Associate's Degree. 

  • Two (2) years of experience using a combination of the following: Smart Classroom technology; instructional media equipment, Desire2Learn-Brightspace Online Learning Management System, computer multimedia experience, or network multimedia equipment. 

  • Possess working knowledge of Windows, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as the understanding of web accessibility standards. 

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, along with having an excellent customer service attitude. 

  • Dependable, self-motivated, and possess strong organizational and time management skills. 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Detail oriented and have the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize duties, with ability to meet deadlines. 

  • Ability to work as a team member to effectively solve problems. 

  • Able to travel as necessary to carry out job duties. 

  • Must be able to report to the Fort Morgan campus within twenty (20) minutes after normal working hours when needed and be willing to work evenings and occasional weekends.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from and accredited college or university in a technology-related field. 

  • Work experience in higher education.

  • Experience with the following: video conferencing systems, network and/or computer, multimedia equipment, and/or video production including recording/editing.

  • Experience with software including Desire2Learn (Brightspace) and Adobe Premier.

  • Experience with Extron technology (integrated control systems, audio and video equipment, and projectors).

  • Experience with Laerdal simulation technology (health).

Anticipated Start Date:  February 2019                                    

Salary: $48,300 based on education, skills and experience.  Benefits include health, life, dental insurance, LTD & benefit package in accordance with Colorado Community College and Occupational Education System policies.  No relocation assistance is provided.
