Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct needs analyses to determine the scope of requests for new instructional and assessment capabilities

  • Evaluate available technologies in response to requests for new instructional and assessment capabilities

  • Analyze technology applications and tools for functionality and ease of integration

  • Working with vendors, project managers, and IT developers, facilitate integrations between existing and new instructional and assessment technologies

  • Document specifications, actions, configurations, and other key components of each implementation to provide ready reference for future support work or additional implementations

  • Develop specifications and standards for 3rd party providers of instructional and assessment technologies

  • Provide tier 2 support for implemented technologies

  • Actively evaluate the performance of implemented technologies and monitor 3rd party vendor enhancements

  • Monitor emerging technologies to determine whether they would be valuable additions to our platforms

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of database structure

  • Working knowledge of data query and manipulation scripting

  • Documented experience implementing single sign-on (SSO)

  • Experience working with educational technologies such as SCORM, xAPI, learning management systems (LMS), and/or LTI

  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Demonstrated experience documenting requirements, processes, and specifications

  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to translate between technical and non-technical partners

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of work related to technology implementation (implementation management, technical support, data migration, etc.)

  • At least 1 year of work in an educational technology environment

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, database management, software engineering, educational technology, or related area

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within Higher Education

  • Master’s degree in a related field and/or relevant certifications beyond the initial degree
