The Louise S. McGehee School is now accepting applications for an Academic Technology Specialist for the 2018-19 academic year. This full-time, 12-month, staff position will begin on July 1, 2018

The Academic Technology Specialist will provide:

  • Faculty Support 
    • Be proactive in addressing student and faculty needs for new and emerging technology.
    • Consult with faculty and administration regarding technology tools to best fit their curriculum needs as a means to enhance learning, innovation, and creativity in the classroom.
    • Assist in classes as needed, especially when faculty and staff are using new technology.
    • Deliver quarterly professional development and provide software training for faculty as needed.
  • Systems Management
    • Provide support for faculty, parents, and students using Learning Management System.
    • Administer the Google Admin portal for the McGehee School organization.
    • Assist with management of the school website (mcgeheeschool.com). This includes content management, as well as occasional style changes.
  • Technology Support
    • Troubleshoots devices for students, faculty, and administration
    • Manages devices and hardware, including SMART Boards, printers, copiers, phones, and warranty repairs of laptops.

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in education, technology, or instructional technology. They will also have a minimum of 2 years experience delivering and integrating technology in instructional programs for PreK-12 students. Classroom teaching experience preferred.
