The successful candidate will have a four-year degree or equivalent with an ICT background in education. They will have experience in integrating technology into the classroom to create active learning experiences. He/she will have a clear understanding of the methodology of Active Learning and be willing to implement that methodology in the management and development of our Media Centre.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Implementing, training and actively assisting staff in the integration of ICT in the classroom across all grades
  • Driving the development of Active Learning as a methodology
  • Providing support to staff and children for software and ICT systems used within the school, including iOS and Windows platforms, as well as Google Apps for Education
  • Teaching digital literacy to Grades 4 to 7
  • Teaching coding and robotics to Grade 6 and 7
  • Developing and managing the Media Centre as an area of Active Learning
  • Liaising with the IT department with regard to ICT needs at Prep
  • Participating in the extra-mural and pastoral programme at Prep

Requirements include:

  • Suitable professional qualification/s
  • Experience in and a passion for ICT and Active Learning
  • At least five years’ experience in a school environment where IT was integrated into the classroom
  • Experience with Windows, iOS and G-Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Being creative and innovative
