Adjunct Faculty - Information Technology Support
General Description of Position: |
Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as-needed basis. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided. Identifies and discusses topics of current interest in introductory information technology support with emphasis on the application of information technology skills. |

Major Responsibilities: |
This is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Other duties logically associated with this position may be assigned. All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards. |
Minimum Qualifications: |
A qualified faculty member in Information Technology Support (ITSP) meets the program standard through one of four routes: 1. Possesses an earned master’s degree or higher, from a regionally accredited institution, in information technology or related field as appropriate to the program; or 2. Possesses an earned related or out-of field master’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documented 18 semester hours or equivalent of courses beyond the introductory principle(s) level in information technology or related field as appropriate to the program; or 3. Possesses an earned related or out-of-field master’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documentation in two or more of the following:

Preferred Qualifications: |
Knowledge of: CompTIA A+; CompTIA Security+; CCNA Routing & Switching; CCENT; and Cisco Academy Instructor College teaching experience. Position requires sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of the College students and employees. Fully supports the College’s mission and strategic plan initiatives. |
