The Administrative Systems Coordinator position is one of two technical experts on
the computer services staff. This person is ultimately responsible for the
implementation, repair, and maintenance of all software, systems, and services
related to computer technology on campus. Working closely with the Network
Administrator, this person will help ensure that all of the school’s technical systems
are running smoothly. This person will share after-hours on-call duties with the
Network Administrator.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies and solutions that improve the efficiency of administrative office processes

  • Working with Vendor Support as needed, resolve all issues related to software and services on our network.

  • Provide second-level technical support as needed

  • With Network Administrator, provide after-hours on-call support for critical systems

  • Manage Data Flow across all campus data systems

  • Install and configure new servers

Specific Duties​:
Primary technical support for software, systems, and services on campus including but not limited to:

  • Network and Client OS

  • Print Servers and Paper-Cut

  • G-Suite

  • “On” Products

  • Destiny

  • Geoffery

  • Time Clock Plus

  • Alpha Card

  • FitnessGram

  • Raiser's Edge/Financial Edge

  • Odin POS system

  • Apache Web Servers

  • mySQL / MSSQL database servers

  • Patch Management / SMS update server

  • Gather regular performance statistics of all systems listed above.

  • Attend department meetings of administrative staff on a regular basis to develop a deep understanding of technical needs of each office.

  • Meet regularly with directors of administrative offices to identify needs and priorities.

  • With all department members, assist with phone and walk up technical support.

  • Assist with other general department activities such as workshops as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in managing Active Directory and other network data services in a medium size network environment (>500 users)

  • Facility with programming fundamentals (Python, Javascript, Java or other modern languages)

  • Broad technical fluency in the area of computer networking and systems interoperability.

  • Ability to match emerging technology solutions to institutional needs

  • Thorough understanding of database concepts including SQL

  • Creative Problem solver

  • Technical leader with demonstrated ability to chart a course for network growth and sustainability.

  • MSCE certification preferred but not required.

Terms of Employment:

  • 12 Month

  • Standard work hours and vacation as per the Employee Handbook

  • On-call for technical emergencies (shared with Network Administrator)
