Position Purpose

Manages admissions business operations, systems, technical processes, and other associated admissions operations activities according to Tuck’s mission, strategy, and institutional priorities.

Required Qualifications
  1. Experience and skill successfully managing admissions systems, processes, and technology applications, including software programming, for higher education institutions, preferably for selective graduate schools.

  2. Knowledge of and advanced proficiency in information systems, technology applications, and software programming gained through a bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or data analytics, or a related field of study, or a combination of relevant education, certifications, and/or work experience. Knowledge of Slate gained through certifications and/or work experience highly preferred.

  3. Able to support, contribute to, and strengthen a vibrant, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community of students, alumni, faculty, and fellow professionals.

  4. Able to anticipate, deliver on, and exceed the expectations of prospective students and colleagues.

  5. Able to introduce and drive innovation in ways small and large.

  6. Able to collaborate with others as primary means to achieve results, and effectively communicate highly technical subject matter in practical terms.

Key Accountabilities

 

Key Accountabilities
  1. Envisions, articulates, and implements plan for achieving admissions operations priorities; engages with colleagues and constituents to identify and surpass challenges; evaluates progress using data analytics; and updates priorities with direction from the director. (5%)

  2. Manages admissions and related systems (Slate, Banner), technology platforms (CRM, SIS), and system modules (communications, events, applications, interviews, and evaluation); delivers technical training to admissions and financial aid colleagues; develops and deploys custom programming to optimize information flows and operational outcomes; identifies and implements technical and programming innovations and solutions; and performs other activities associated with achieving admissions operations priorities. (65%)

  3. Contributes ideas, input, and support to initiatives, decisions, and communications with admissions operations implications. (10%)

  4. Collaborates with Tuck and Dartmouth data partners, institutional research teams, IT, and other offices and colleagues to conceptualize, manage, and complete shared data analytics and other projects and assignments. (15%)

  5. Gains knowledge of and shares insights into pertinent trends and innovations through market research, participation in peer networks and associations, and attending and representing Tuck at conferences, seminars, and speaking engagements. (5%)
