The Analyst II (General) Coordinate, oversee and perform professional technical and analytical work in one or more assigned areas including coordinating and leading major and challenging projects to expand practices proven to raise student achievement with special attention on English Learners and Special Education students; plan, organize, direct, train and review the work of professional analysts, technicians and clerical staff to provide timely delivery of high quality services; serves in a lead capacity and create innovative approaches to meet the needs of the District.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with internal and external business partners to understand business processes, goals and gaps.

  • Drive the planning, prioritization, design, development and deployment of new projects & system enhancements.

  • Responsible for understanding business requirements, creating user stories, and partnering with the Development team to deliver a solution and a plan for projects & enhancements.

  • Identify and document business requirements consistent with accepted industry standards and/or regulations by collaborating with business unit leaders, team leads, and subject matter experts.

  • Document software issues, defects, and enhancement opportunities and assist business unit and team leaders in prioritizing and scheduling their resolution.

  • Leverage business knowledge and expertise to identify opportunities for process improvements.

  • Analyze complex data and provide insight.

  • Periodically report progress to stakeholders.

  • Assist team leads, subject matter experts, and technical staff with creating and revising business and technical documentation.

  • Develop test plans and test cases leveraging subject matter experts and knowledge gained by identifying and documenting requirements.

  • Coordinate testing and report results to stakeholders.

  • Develop project plans.
