Episcopal High School is seeking an assistant director for digital media who will play an important role in communicating the mission and strategic objectives of Episcopal High School through digital platforms, social media, and printed publications. The position demands a range of communications and technical skills including writing and copy editing, graphic design, and website and social media management, ideally paired with a good native flair for marketing/public relations. Superb writing, follow through, attention to detail, and excellence at multitasking are baseline qualities.

The ideal candidate is a creative, strategic thinker who is both highly self-motivated and technically skilled, with a proven ability to take complex projects from start to finish. The candidate must be comfortable with website design and content management, photography and photo editing, and social media platforms. The candidate will work in a friendly, progressive school environment.

The assistant director for digital media must be an engaged presence in the EHS community, forging strong relationships with faculty, staff, students, parents, and alumni. The assistant director for digital media reports to the director of communications and will be an integral member of the communications office, working closely with the working collaboratively within the Advancement Office, Admissions Office, and other departments across campus.

The successful candidate will possess:

A bachelor’s degree in communications or related field.
A minimum of three years of relevant, full-time experience in an independent school and/or higher education.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
In-depth knowledge and experience with website management and/or content management systems and social media.
Experience in graphic design, digital photography, HTML code, and/or desktop publishing (preferably Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) is preferred.
Experience with WhippleHill and Blackbaud preferred.
