Works closely with all members of SPS to provide secure and reliable technical support and training for all current and future technology infrastructures. 

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES: (100% of total job) 

- Works closely with Executive Director of Business Services on the oversight of the general operation of the computers, printers and software used by the School of Professional Studies. Ensures high level of technology support for all SPS administrators and full-time faculty including but not limited to: troubleshooting and responding to all requests for assistance with local and network equipment, setting up new workstations, performing predefined maintenance on hardware/software, and providing training to SPS users on hardware, software, and/or IT processes. Manages ticket tracking and completion/assignment of all requests made to SPSTech. 

- Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Manager will create and maintain a policies and procedures manual for all critical IT functions. Provides detailed quarterly reports regarding the current operation of each technological tool used by each user. Works closely with General Studies and Instructional Support teams on issues related to the classrooms, room support, and technology and is main point of contact for CUIT. Researches tools and software to support business end users. 

- Collaborates with Executive Director, on budget for IT. Researches and creates quotes for new equipment and software for other departments as required. 

- Cross-train in enterprise software systems to provide: troubleshooting support, training and documentation, and system change and administration. 

- Performs other duties as assigned or requested. 

Supervisory duties 

- Oversee IT staff members 
- Provides job training and orientation 
- Manages problems that arise 
- Coordinates the work of all direct reports 
- Has frequent meetings with staff to discuss goals and performance  

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. 
-Three years related work experience required. 
- Must be computer literate with desktop hardware and/or software installation skills. User level experience with mail programs, internet, network applications, Must have a strong service oriented attitude and excellent interpersonal skills. Must be well organized. Ability to work well under pressure, and the ability to work as a member of a team.
