Job Description
  • This position is responsible for management and supervision of the professional instructional designers and the technical writing area within Financials Support Services. This includes directing the creation and development of university wide online and instructor-led training programs, updates relating to the ongoing support of the UCFFinancials system and communications, including the facilitation of meetings concerning Finance and Accounting and Procurement policies, procedures, and financial issues.

  • Responsible for managing and developing all educational and training programs related to the UCF Financials system and formulating and recommending policies and procedures to effectively administer these programs. This includes instructor-led training, online learning development, and just-in-time training. Must be able to effectively conduct training and make presentations to all levels within the university.

  • Serves as liaison with the UCF Financials system departmental personnel to ensure coordination of effort and exchange of information. Ensures appropriate communication with application users with respect to system functionality and the application of its methods and techniques.

  • Directs, guides, and manages the writing, editing, marketing, and publishing of Finance and Accounting and Procurement’s public relations communications and training materials.  

  • Responsible for Financials Support Services website content development. 

  • Responsible for ensuring efficient and effective customer service delivery by the service desk personnel to campus-wide internal and external customers. 

  • Maintain knowledge in one or more professional development areas: instructional design, technical communication, project and change management.  

  • Must be technologically competent, analytical, and resourceful.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience with at least 1+ year(s) of leadership experience.

Additional Minimum Requirements  
Preferences

Should have experience leading, administrating, and developing enterprise resource planning financial systems training programs.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for one to many system users preferred.  
Should have previous experience interacting with departmental personnel to document business and financial system functionality and procedures.
Must be able to multi-task and requires minimal supervision.
Proficient in Articulate 360, Storyline, Camtasia video, Adobe Acrobat, and all Microsoft product lines.
