Lycoming College Department of Information Technology Services (ITS) seeks qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Director, Instructional Technology.  This position is responsible for all aspects of instructional and emerging technology.  The assistant director will support and work closely with faculty, IT staff and students to ensure high quality standards in planning, design, and implementation of technology to support teaching and learning in labs, classrooms and other technology-enabled spaces across campus.  This position is a supervisory position, providing oversight to one full-time position and student workers.
 

Required Experience & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in supporting information technology required:  candidates without a bachelor’s degree who have substantial relevant experience may be considered; master’s degree in instructional technology and/or in instructional design preferred.  Successful candidates must have excellent interpersonal and customer skills to interact frequently with students, faculty and staff; demonstrated management and leadership experience and demonstrated experience working effectively in a collaborative team environment.  Prior experience working and teaching within a higher education environment preferred.  Working environment requirements include the ability to walk between buildings, ascend and descend stairs, deliver equipment, lift 30 pounds unassisted and perform onsite troubleshooting.
