Key Responsibilities:

  • Help to manage the technology support system, provides help desk services and support for hardware and software issues

  • Help to monitor and manage security controls, including firewall, filtering and VPN

  • Help to monitor network performance, detection, and intrusion

  • Help to maintain phone systems, configuration, and maintenance (Allworx)

  • Help with user account management (G+Suite Admin, Active Directory)

  • Troubleshoot networked printers, copiers, and scanners

  • Troubleshoot mobile workstations and classroom technology

  • Understands best practices and policies to ensure the most effective use of school technology resources (copyright, privacy, digital citizenship, other national standards)

  • Explores educational technology-related trends and plans for future directions

Other Functions:

  • Contributes to the school culture of Allendale Columbia

  • Participates in relevant committees or task forces

  • Fosters relationships with other schools (distance learning, resource sharing)

  • Able to communicate with students, parents, and alumni about technology initiatives

  • Assist with training and support to a diverse community of faculty, staff, and students.

Preferred Professional Experience and Education:

  • Networking, LAN and WAN products and protocols, Cisco experience preferred

  • Knowledge of Windows Server products, Windows, OSX, iOS and ChromeOS

  • Experience managing 1 to 1 programs, including iOS and ChromeOS

  • Understands campus-wide technology infrastructures

  • Experience with cloud or hosted solutions/computing environments, including Citrix

  • Experience in IS/IT/CS/MIS or related field

  • Additional industry certifications encouraged
