Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy seeks a Full-time assistant for our new Innovation Lab. The ideal candidate will be familiar with STEM/STEAM education and looking to learn more about implementing project-based learning in Middle and Upper School curriculum.

We are looking for people with the following skills (does not have to have ALL of the below):

  • Computer programming (anything from Scratch to Java to Processing to Arduino)
  • Robotics and/or electronics (Legos, Arduinos, Raspberry pi, LittleBits, snap circuits, tetrix etc)
  • 3D Printing/CAD design (Sketchup, TinkerCAD, SolidWorks, etc)
  • Woodworking, soldering, power tools and making!

The Innovation Lab assistant position candidate will:

  • Manage the daily operation, maintenance, and organization of the Innovation Lab.
  • Maintain inventory and order expendable materials as needed.
  • Support student projects in the Innovation Lab.
  • Support the STEAM director in the instruction of STEAM electives and Engineering courses.
  • Support the implementation of STEAM integration throughout the school as directed by the STEAM director.

The Innovation Lab assistant will report to the STEAM director. This position requires an educational background in a STEM-related field and a passion for working with children and STEM!
