Assistant Media and Information Science Specialist

The successful applicant will:

• Have a passion for primary school teaching

• Be required to promote the Media Centre as a vibrant Information Centre supporting the research and needs of our boys and staff, as well as be able to take the Media Centre forward with development

• Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science or a relevant Diploma, or appropriate long term experience

• Have had previous experience in a school or academic Media Centre and with the ability to manage the day to day functions whilst being committed to professional development

• Have sound communication skills and be excited about working in an environment of collaborative planning and teaching

• Have a high level of IT proficiency and be confident both in screen-based administration and the use of technology to aid teaching

• Have the ability to inspire reading amongst the staff and boys and a sound knowledge of the current trends in education

• Have strong administration skills with the ability to manage budgets

• Have a SACE registration.
