The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is responsible for the strategic use and development of information systems management, and information technology within the organization. Provides vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives. Develops, directs, plans, and manages the company's Information Systems policies and procedures to assure the development and implementation of data processing, computer operations, and related functions (communications, office systems, production activities, etc.)

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Programming or related area from an accredited university, and three (3) years of professional experience in Information Systems and Telecommunications or, Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Programming or related area from accredited university, and five (5) years of professional experience in Information Systems and Telecommunications.
  • Previous experience in planning, design and development of technological infrastructure in the areas of networks and telecommunications, networks and applications security systems.
  • Experience in information systems management related to academic and student processes in university settings, and knowledge in the use of applications, such as: BANNER (Student, Financial Aid, Finance, Human Resources) from SunGard, Data Tel, Angel, LMS Blackboard, among others.
  • Development and management of managerial reports (Business Object, OnBase or equivalent). 
  • Knowledge of programming developments tools such as SQL, MS. NET, Oracle Forms/Report, Business Object, among others. 
  • Ability to work with the installation, configuration and maintenance of PC' s, servers and peripheral, as well as operating systems Windows, Windows Server or Linux. 
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to technology issues.
  • Ability to develop and to administer the technological development plan of AGMUS Ventures, Inc. and its learning sites, including the plan of replacement for updated technology. 
  • Capacity to generate innovative solutions.
  • Being able to translate ideas, utilize the feedback to modify designs and keep attention to details. 
  • Demonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to business problems.
  • Effective training and organizational skills.
  • Ability to develop work plans, coordinate and direct projects, communicate changes and complete them on time with the assigned budget.
