CENTER FOR TEACHING & LEARNING  
This is a professional position responsible for coordinating technology-based programs within university components. Responsible for assisting in the development and administration of instructional technology delivery systems; administering departmental media application and technologies operations; and coordinating associated activities and support/training program for faculty as related to online course delivery tools and methods. This is a security-sensitive position. Reports to the Director of Instructional Technology.  
1. Administers departmental media applications and technologies operations.
2. Plans, coordinates, and schedules faculty training for technology/media-related tools and services.
3. Organizes faculty technology workshops, roundtables, and pilot programs.
4. Consults with faculty on instructional technology issues.
5. Researches current instructional technologies.
6. Designs and evaluates the effectiveness of instructional technology solutions.
7. Coordinates and schedules use of the university's ITV and streaming video resources.
8. Maintains and coordinates scheduling of interactive video classrooms and partner networks.
9. Assists with departmental product/service licensing, budgeting, planning, and statistical data.
10. Oversees the back up of departmental media system resources.
11. Assists faculty in creating and/or posting educational materials and setting up web-based content.
12. Provides support and information to students regarding media-related online course content, services, and tools.
13. Oversees maintenance, service, and support of department computing technology. Coordinates timely upgrades and manages costs for such projects.
14. Formulates departmental disaster recovery plan.
15. Maintains inventory of department assets.
16. Assists in hiring, training, and supervising student employees.
17. Maintains currency of knowledge and skills through professional development activities.  
1. Participates actively in related professional organizations.
2. Represents the department on various university committees as assigned.
3. Performs other related duties as assigned.  
1. Knowledge of, or the ability to learn, university policies and procedures.
2. Knowledge of video conferencing and steaming technologies.
3. Knowledge of synchronous and asynchronous instructional tools.
4. Knowledge of video/data networks and cloud-based applications and technologies.
5. Knowledge of internet resources, mobile devices, and multimedia instructional applications.
6. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
7. Ability to learn office and university-specific software.
8. Ability to develop objectives, evaluate effectiveness, and assess needs.
9. Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate programs.

Bachelor's degree in telecommunications, information technology, instructional technology, or a related field is required. Master's degree is preferred. Technical certifications are preferred. Related experience may be substituted for required education on a basis set forth by the Department of Human Resources.  
Five years of related experience is required. Experience in instructional technology is required.  
M-F 8-5
Occasional time on weekends or after hours needed
