The Coordinator – Technology (STEAM) position resides in the Innovation & Instructional Support Department, within the Professional Learning & Instructional Support Division. Santa Clara County Office of Education’s Innovation IS department serves schools and districts with content support and integrated learning. The preferred candidate will have strong oral and written communication and collaboration skills. The candidate will provide high-quality innovative professional development in the areas of computer science, computational thinking, and technical and engineering skills including coding and robotics. Experience with the Computer Science Standards K-12 Progression and the Draft version of the CA Computer Science Standards is essential. An ideal candidate would create pathways for college and careers, especially with a focus on engineering, computer science and design. In addition, the candidate would interface with districts to support their Innovation (STEAM/STEM) program growth, and assist with Strategic Plans. Ideally, the candidate will have experience with program development, a proven track record of working successfully with partnerships between school districts and industry leaders, and a strong background in standards-based curriculum and 21st century innovative curriculum integration. Experience with grant writing is highly desired. 

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: - Master's Degree in education, assigned instructional area, or related field - A valid Administrative Services Credential and a valid California teaching credential - 5 years of teaching experience, including increasingly responsible experience conducting professional development activities
