Job Summary

With minimal supervision, performs administration and support of IU CRM Platform cloud applications and vended products at Indiana University. Performs upgrades, solution design, analysis, troubleshooting, bug-fixing, testing, documentation, and support of document management, quality assurance, and user facing applications and products. Performs system and software administration in support of applications serving the entire university. This position serves as a technical resource for application configuration and installation, application Tier 3 support, infrastructure maintenance, and problem determination and resolution.

Works as part of a team and demonstrates a high degree of self-initiative and commitment to expand skills and expertise through a variety of methods, including self-study, working/mentoring with colleagues, and both internal and external training. Able to work on administration tasks on own, and may initiate analysis phases of application support.

Responds to customer requests and work queues, maintains task documentation and may make programming changes necessary for upgrades, releases and customization. Collaborates with technical and functional business clients and teams within the central information technology organization. The job’s work is in the area of development support tools.

Required Qualifications

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in the areas of customer support, application support, and documentation.

Combinations of related education and experience may be considered.

Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information. Problem solving skills. Customer service attitude and willingness to work in a team-oriented environment.

Creativity in identifying complex problems and finding solutions quickly and accurately; attention to detail in communicating technical issues and implementing solutions; mental discipline in resolving software problems; ability to change priorities as project expands or project needs change.

Preferred Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Business Systems, or related discipline. Some programming experience. Experience working with one or more development support tools.
