West Coast University (WCU), a private university with the singular focus of educating health care professionals, is currently seeking Curriculum and Instructional Design Manager for the Pharmacy program at our Center for Graduate Studies in Los Angeles, CA. This is an outstanding opportunity for a professional to join a growing university as we expand our academic programs in health care and related fields.

 

SUMMARY:
The Curriculum and Instructional Design Manager will report to the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs. 
  • This position is responsible for the design, development, and evaluation of instructional strategies in a variety of learning contexts. 
  • This position collaborates with faculty to design and develop appropriate teaching and learning strategies to enhance student learning. 
  • The candidate contributes to faculty development workshops, one-on-one interactions, and other training opportunities on course design, teaching and learning strategies, and instructional technologies. 
  • The individual identifies and evaluates new and emerging instructional methods and make recommendations for implementation in the curriculum to enhance student learning outcomes.   

 

 

Qualifications

:  

EDUCATION:
  • Master’s Degree in education, educational psychology or related field is required.
  • Terminal degree in the area of education or related field (e.g., EdD, PhD) is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in instructional design, educational technology, or curriculum development is required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in instructional design, educational technology, or curriculum development training is preferred.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience with faculty or staff development related to education and instructional pedagogy and technology is preferred. Knowledge and experience in current and emerging instructional pedagogy/ andragogy and student learning outcome assessment.
  • Experience with training, staff development, teaching, and Demonstrated verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills.
