The Agnes Irwin School’s Technology Department seeks an experienced professional in the field of database management for the full-time position of Database Administrator, beginning in November 2015. The primary function of this position is to oversee the student information systems. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Standardize, document, and maintain data handling procedures for all database users
• Serve as primary contact between database providers and the School
• Provide database customization (e.g., create templates, queries and special reports)
• Serve as chair of the school’s database committee, and as a liaison among database users of student information systems
• Develop and maintain electronic documents and records for the purpose of providing up-to-date reference and audit trails for all database projects
• Provide support for all ancillary database systems
• Analyze needs of the School, as they relate to databases

Successful candidates will possess:
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• Experience using and supporting Blackbaud databases (e.g., Raiser’s Edge and Education Edge), MS-SQL, MS Access, and MS Excel database programs
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining complex relational databases
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve database problems
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects with a high degree of accuracy in an environment subject to frequent interruptions
