Position

Reporting to the Associate Director of Development, the Database Assistant for Development will fulfill a variety of administrative support roles for the office. The successful candidate will be working extensively in Blackbaud’s The Raiser’s Edge database software. This individual should be highly motivated, have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities with polished organizational skills and attention to detail. Some weekend work is required. Computer skills are essential. Principal Responsibilities

Fundraising Administration: Under the oversight of the Associate Director of Development, utilize The Raiser’s Edge to execute large fundraising mailings, filing, and mail merges. Assist in the production of fundraising metrics reports.

Constituent Relations: With guidance from the Associate Director of Development, assist with mailings, scheduling, and program coordination.

Miscellaneous: Miscellaneous tasks will include filing, inventory management, events assistance, and other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary to support the Development Department.

Confidentiality: The ability to maintain constituent information in the strictest of confidence is essential by exercising absolute discretion and professionalism.

Experience with Blackbaud’s The Raiser’s Edge database software is essential.
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
- High school GED or higher.
- Experience in an administrative assistant’s role a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively and comfortably with the office staff, board members, parents, and students from diverse cultures.
- Must be highly organized, with strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task as part of a busy development office.
