POSITION OVERVIEW
The Database Coordinator is an important member of the energetic, fast-paced and collegial Development Office and the External Relation Department which includes alumni relations, communications, admissions and fundraising. As the point person
of the development office’s database, this role will be charged with maintaining all aspects of an effective database infrastructure; following database policies and
protocols, keeping data information updated, extracting reports for the office, and ensuring the highest level of confidentiality. The Database Coordinator works to ensure coordinated, timely, and accurate reports. This position reports to the Director
of Development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees all functions of database management including data/gift entry, reporting, and maintaining database policies and protocols.

  • Creates, maintains, and updates information on new and existing donor prospects. This may include researching and organizing major donor prospect reports.

  • Examines and cleans current data records to ensure data accuracy.

  • Processes contributions received through all giving mechanisms and disseminate information to Development and Finance teams.

  • Manages department dashboard for analysis and reporting.

  • Works with Development and Finance Offices to reconcile revenue and expenses.

  • Performs a variety of administrative support functions including gift processing, donor acknowledgment letters, mailings, check requests, calendar meetings and maintains a filing system.

  • Provides administrative support to the Associate Director of Development and the Director of Development, such as printing pledge cards and preparing packets for volunteers.

  • Assists with special events as needed.

  • Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge or other development databases is a plus.
