Princeton Day School seeks an experienced full-time database manager to join the Advancement Office team. The Database Manager supports all development programs within the Advancement Office. Focus is primarily on gift recording and acknowledgement, database accuracy and maintenance, and report generation. This is a full-time, twelve-month position.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for overall accuracy of Raiser’s Edge database, overseeing constituent data entry and changes.
  • Responsible for all gift entry, tracking and filing including gifts of cash, payroll deduction gifts, gifts of securities, checks, and credit cards. Perform gift entry as needed during high volume times.
  • Oversee the deposit of all gifts to the business office on a regular basis; reconcile with the business office.
  • In collaboration with Director of Annual Giving and the Director of Capital Giving, produce and mail all acknowledgements receipts, pledge reminders, stewardship letters, and other communications as requested on a timely basis
  • Design and produce Raiser’s Edge reports, queries, and lists for development staff, business office, school administration and volunteers as requested.
  • Document and maintain documentation on Raiser’s Edge policies and procedures. Promulgate them within office; provide RE feature change/update information to office members.
  • Execute exception reporting to improve data quality (for example, matching gift companies, emails in non-primary email). Implement regular review of constituents with DNS and other solicitation codes.
  • Implement improved procedures for monthly credit card gifts and for payroll deduction reconciliation.
  • Implement mailings designed to improve data accuracy (for example, alumni still listed as living at home).
  • Assist with data integrations into other systems such as Education Edge and EverTrue
  • Maintain and update Target Analytics/Research Point wealth screening portal
  • Represent Advancement Office in all RE IT related issues; responsible for relationship with Blackbaud/RE, resolving any customer service issues, and opening/closing service tickets.
  • Perform all global changes and updates to the database including appeals/volunteers/targets/solicitors.
  • Create all necessary mailing and email lists, as requested
  • Prepare Annual Report Donor listings per instructions from Director of Advancement and Director of Annual Giving.
  • Perform other duties as requested, delegated, or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree required
A minimum of three years of related Advancement Services experience in non-profits with Raiser’s Edge
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines
Strong analytical ability a must
Strong background in computer technology and familiarity with Blackbaud products preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Clear understanding of the mission, values, organization and traditions of an independent school
