In addition to managing the database (using Raiser’s Edge or comparable software, and internal data) for the Development Office, the DMDR will support the work of other team members through prospect research and other duties. As a member of the Development Office, the DMDR is also an integral part of the school’s overall advancement effort, evidencing a knowledge and embrace of the school’s unique mission and of its various constituents.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the administration of the fundraising database including user training, database performance, and future expansion/coordination with other products on campus.
Manage, on an ongoing basis, all data entry including donor notes, gift processing, volunteer and other and record updates.
Design and implement strategies to ensure the quality and integrity of the data; immediate focus on ensuring that data currently spread across multiple platforms or maintained in multiple formats is properly and consistently entered in Raiser’s Edge or other fundraising software.
Develop and execute database strategies and reporting requirements for Departmental personnel; respond promptly to all reporting requests from Development and Business Office staff
Coordinate and execute prospect research.
Manage all department mailings, statistics and distribution lists.
Provide general office management services as required.
Maintain documentation of processes and procedures so that they can be duplicated by others.
