The Elisabeth Morrow School seeks a Database Manager/Registrar to join our technology department and support multiple systems and offices. This is a new position that will report to the Director of Technology starting July 1, 2019. This position will support database users in the Enrollment Management Office, the Business Office, the Communications Office, and our three divisions as well as working with the advancement services officer in our Development Office. This position will be integral to all registrar duties across our campus. This position will also analyze our databases for issues and work to improve the consistency of demographic data across all databases.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience as a school registrar and database manager

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Google Apps

  • Interest in creating greater efficiencies in office systems

  • Ability to support the Enrollment Management Office in Ravenna Admit and TADS Enroll, including creating queries. 

  • Ability to formulate and enforce Blackbaud business practices to create uniformity and consistency of data

Duties include, but are not limited to:
 

Database Manager:

  • Supports the users and manages the data in our integrated Blackbaud databases, including Financial Edge, Raiser’s Edge, and the Education Management System 

  • Manages users and data of Ravenna Admit and TADS Enroll systems while ensuring integrity between these systems and Blackbaud

  • Maintains the integrity of the database systems by completing regular maintenance

  • Sets up labels, reports, and exports, etc. for teachers, parents, and staff

  • Updates all constituent data of faculty, students, and parents

  • Maintains relationship with Blackbaud, TADS, and Ravenna customer service

  • Identifies database related hardware and software application needs of the school

  • Plans and supervises internal and external database training of school personnel

  • Supervises and evaluates contracted technology support providers

  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

Registrar:

  • Data entry of student and parent information required after admission

  • Data entry of faculty and staff information

  • Support creation of schedules and input that information into Blackbaud’s Education Management Solutions (formerly OnCampus and On Record)

  • Facilitate and monitor entry and maintenance of academic information including courses, activities, grades, etc.

  • Support the preparation of student transcripts; review and update academic records

  • Support divisional administrators and staff in increasing the use of various parts of our SIS/LMS including conduct, learning profiles and official notes

  • Support various Managers within Blackbaud’s Education Management Solutions 

  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in database management or related field

  • Substantial experience in database or records management in non-profit, education or corporate setting; Experience with Blackbaud databases highly desirable

  • High proficiency with technology including MS Office, Google Apps, and various educational databases and SIS/LMS experience

  • Strong orientation to customer service

  • Strong written and oral communication, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and organizational skills
