Bergen Community College, the No. 1 institution in New Jersey for associate degree graduates four years in a row, serving a diverse student body on its suburban campus, has a leadership opportunity for a Dean of Technology Innovation and Integration to coordinate and oversee all technology related initiatives to improve the efficiency and infrastructure for student support services at the College. The Dean will lead the development and implementation of a student friendly, seamless virtual environment in all student support areas, utilizing the most current technological solutions. Principle duties also include continuously evaluating processes to implement process improvements and new technologies to the various departments providing student support services in both student and academic affairs and acting as a liaison between Information Technology and student support areas. The Dean will assure that the College’s strategic objectives are met through robust assessment program and review practices. In collaboration with staff and faculty, the Dean will engage in continuous assessment of student success and learning outcomes. In collaboration with the Executive Team, the Dean will design and implement innovative and technological solutions to increase enrollment, retention and graduation rates, as well as, additional tasks or duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

Master’s degree or a higher degree in Information or Educational Technology, Counseling, Psychology, Student Personnel, Educational Administration or related area. Must have a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in higher education in enrollment or related services. Possesses a strong understanding of the uses of information technology to deliver, monitor and evaluate programs and services for students and ability to work collaboratively across various constituencies of the College. Strong interpersonal as well as technical skills and must be detail oriented. Demonstrates understanding of the community college mission. Experience in a collective bargaining environment and in a multi-site operation preferred.
