Marymount School recognizes the strategic role of development, fundraising, and data in advancing the School's educational objectives and in enabling a strong financial and operational foundation, and seeks a Development Database Manager. 

 

The Raiser’s Edge Database Manager plays an instrumental role in Marymount’s Development department. Reporting to the Associate Director of Development, the Raiser’s Edge Database Manager oversees the day-to-day and long-term operations of all aspects of the Raiser’s Edge database and assures its quality, consistency, and accuracy. The position is responsible for entry and processing of all contributions to the School from receipt through acknowledgement; for maintaining and improving the overall integrity of the Raiser’s Edge database and its integration with other databases in use at the School; for managing reporting and reconciliation both within the Development Office and with the Business Office; for report writing and analysis in response to fundraising needs; and for ensuring that the Development office adheres to school-wide policies and procedures on data collection, retention and management.
 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an accurate Raiser’s Edge database for the School, and for all Raiser’s Edge functions, including data entry, gift processing, lists, statistical reports and analysis;

  • Enter, record, and process contributions to the School from receipt through acknowledgement;

  • Maintain all individual and organizational records, input and update biographical, geographical, professional, financial, and other information;

  • Collaborate with members of the Campaign, Annual Fund and Events teams to maintain accurate and timely targeting, solicitation, gift entry, and acknowledgement processes;

  • Create weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for Development and Business Offices;  

  • Suggest new and creative ways to help fundraisers maximize the use of data with the goal of deepening the understanding of donor behavior and drive increased giving;

  • Collaborate with members of Development and Business Office to manage reconciliation of Development financial records with Business Office records;

  • Collaborate with Admissions, Academic, Business, and Communications offices to ensure database information is entered and integrated in a timely manner and remains up to date;

  • Produce and maintain lists for all mailings and communications;

  • Respond to auditor queries with regard to annual audit;

  • Develop and maintain a dynamic list of policies, procedures, and regulations for the Raiser’s Edge database and its use;

  • Train and oversee other Development team members in proper use of database;

  • Ensure compliance with the School’s policies and procedures around data;

  • Maintain strict confidentiality in regards to all data that he/she comes in contact with during the course of his/her functions;

  • Assist with Development Office tasks and events as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent education and experience) with minimum two (2) years Raiser’s Edge experience, including knowledge of and experience with Crystal Reports, building queries, and database management;

Skills and competencies :

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);

  • Articulate, highly organized, strong attention to detail, someone who takes pride in managing a well-ordered and effective database;

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines;

  • Excellent organizational and communications skills (both written and verbal), interpersonal skills, and mathematical skills;

  • Self-starter with a demonstrated flexibility and initiative, as well as the ability to work independently, combined with the skills for thriving in a team environment to achieve goals;

  • High professional and ethical standards for handling confidential information with complete discretion;

  • Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously with close attention to detail and prioritization to meet deadlines;

  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed in support of Development initiatives and events.

Computer Support Specialist

Marymount School of New York, an independent, Catholic girls school seeks a collaborative computer support specialist to join its computer support team. The position is a full-time, salaried position that occasionally requires evening or weekend hours. 

 

The school, with 750+ students has a 1:1 MacBook Air and iPad program and also has Windows-based machines in select offices. The ideal candidate will be team-oriented and flexible, ready to work in a dynamic school environment that includes three campuses in Manhattan. 

 

Requirements: 

  • degree in computer science

  • experience with printers, networks, copiers, phone systems

  • experience with Mac and PC environments

  • intermediate-expert level of Excel

  • knowledge of databases, in particular Blackbaud’s K-12 products, a plus

Food Prep/Utility Position, Food Service

The Food Service department at Marymount School of New York, an independent, Catholic girls school, seeks a food service prep/utility staff member.  Duties include light food preparation, pot/pan washing, recycling/trash removal, maintaining cleanliness of kitchen, and organization/stocking of deliveries.  Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds.
