Position Summary:
Reporting to the Associate Director, Marketing and Communications, Alumnae and Development (A&D), the Digital Media Coordinator uses a variety of digital media to execute communication strategies in support of A&D and Office of Admission programs initiatives, goals and priorities; aids in the production of print and digital fundraising materials and executes A&D and Admission’s social media platforms and initiatives.  The Digital Media Coordinator collaborates closely with Associate Director, Marketing and Communications and the Chief External Affairs Officer (CEAO) to produce digital communications with strategic value while ensuring compliance with key institutional messaging and branding guidelines.
 
The Digital Media Coordinator will provide support to Admissions, Annual Fund, Alumnae Relations and Reunion Programs, Stewardship and Special Initiatives, for special projects and events (e.g. 175th Anniversary, Day of Giving, campaign initiatives - features and announcements)
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Designs high quality, branded content in support of school fundraising efforts. Works with staff colleagues to create and enhance webpages within the Miss Porter’s School website including, but not limited to on-line giving page, A&D homepage, flash campaigns, event registrations and on-line donation forms.
 
Develops a robust on-line presence, and works with the CEAO to develop protocol for A&D and Admissions social media outlets including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube and Twitter.  Works to increase the visibility of Miss Porter’s School through the telling of stories and the promotion of events and activities targeted to audiences using appropriate venues and mediums, including video.
 
Coordinate with the appropriate teams to plan, design and execute social media campaigns for engagement, fundraising and program initiatives including but not limited to annual giving, reunions, student recruitment, parent relations, major gifts, planned giving and constituent stewardship.
 
Track engagement through website analytics, email campaign metrics and social media efforts. Recommend and adjust strategies to maximize efforts and ROI.  Keeps abreast of industry trends and makes recommendations for implementing new tools to strengthen A&D’s digital presence.
 
 
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree required. 3 years to < 5 years, at least 2 years full-time writing experience, 1-2 years publication production experience (writing, edit, and layout). Video production and editing experience. Proven knowledge of varied writing styles and lengths for varied media, i.e. social media vs magazine.  Full knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.  Knowledge of HTML a plus.
