Position Description:

The Branson School is seeking a techonology professional to provide leadership for the planning, development, implementaiton, and evaluation of Branson’s technology infrastructure.  The Director of Administrative Technology will partner with the Director of Educational Technology to develop and evaluate Branson’s technology vision and to implement a technology plan that meets the school’s current and future needs in a dynamic 21st century learning environment

We are seeking someone who enjoys working independently and who can effectively collaborate across groups.  This is a hands-on position with responsibilities ranging from strategic and long-term planning and implementation of campus-wide technology solutions, to providing one-on-one and group training and support.  Experience working in the the field of education is preferred.

 

Reports To:  Assistant Head/CFO

 

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Working closely with the Director of Educational Technology to implement a cohesive technology plan and systems at Branson.
  • Setting policy, regulations, system standards, and operating procedures for administrative technology. 
  • Collaborating with Assistant Head/CFO and Director of Educational Technology to develop the annual technology budget and revising the technology plan as needed.
  • Actively monitoring and maintaining the following:
    • Windows active directory servers.
    • The wired and wireless network and related equipment including the access points, switches, etc.
    • Apple file servers.
    • Dell compellent backup system.
    • Campus-wide photocopier system.
    • Campus-wide security camera and access systems.
    • Cisco VoIP telephone system.
    • Email system.
    • Data systems for education, business, and development.

 

Education and Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 5 plus years of experience managing and troubleshooting network infrastructure.
  • Significant experience with Apple, Microsoft and Cisco systems.
  • Desire to work in a school environment and, when required, with students.
  • Experience in crafting school technology plans preferred.
  • Experience in vendor relations including contract negotiations, ongoing service relationships, etc.

 

This job is a full-time, full-year, exempt position. It requires occasional evening and weekend commitments. Salary and benefits are highly competitive and commensurate with experience.
