The Town School, a N-8 independent school whose motto is “let there be joy in learning,” seeks applicants for the position of Curriculum Innovator, effective July 2017. The Director of Curriculum Innovation will work closely with the Head of School and Division Heads to identify the curricular and programmatic needs of the school and ensure curricular and instructional continuity from Nursery through 8th grade. The Director’s responsibilities will include inspiring curricular innovation and managing its implementation, documentation, review, revision, and alignment. This is a full-time, year-round administrative position reporting to the Head of School.

 

 

Candidates should have an advanced degree, a grounding in early childhood, elementary, and/or middle school teaching, and experience with curriculum development and/or oversight. A background in 21st century learning skills and issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion are essential, as are a sense of humor and a strong sense of self. Town seeks a collaborative, hard-working, creative, and disciplined person to assume this position.
