Position Overview
Countryside School seeks an experienced educational technology professional to provide leadership, vision, and direction on curricular innovation and technology integration. As this is a new position at Countryside, the school is looking for a person enthusiastic about shaping the future of our balanced educational environment focused on 21st century skills. The Director of Educational Technology will work closely with the Administrative Team as well as the faculty and will report to the Head of School.

Specific Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership, vision, and direction around technology adoption and integration.
Inspire a culture of innovation to meet the evolving needs of today’s learners.
Develop, coordinate, and teach workshops on instructional and administrative applications of technology.
Serve as an internal resource for 21st century pedagogy and curriculum.
Assist faculty in the integration of technology applications across the K-8 curriculum.
Manage all devices--145 iPads, 20 laptops, 36 desktops + Apple TV’s, projectors.
Act as the liaison to the internal network management team.
Provide on-going education and support for use of the following technology applications: Finalsite website, Alma LMS/SIS and Google Apps for Education.
Assist in management of the school’s website, learning management system, student information system, and social media presence.
Act as an inspirational leader of educational technology best practices to the faculty, students, and staff by serving as a role model for creativity, innovation, and experimentation.
Create and maintain a forward-thinking strategic plan around technology that meets strategic, operational, and learning objectives.
Establish and implement short-term and long-term goals in collaboration with other administrators and faculty with respect to innovation and technology programs.
Oversee the research and evaluation of emerging technologies and techniques.
Qualification & Skills

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s Preferred) in Educational Technology or related/similar academic discipline.
Classroom teaching experience in a K-8 setting.
Experience leading individual or teams of educators in an instructional technology professional growth experience.
Knowledge of current pedagogical strategies and high proficiency with educational technology.
Proficiency with Apple technology and Google Apps for Education.
Knowledge of current technological trends and skills
Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
Collaborative and cooperative mindset.
