NYU seeks a skilled Director, Employee Systems Management with Workday HCM experience to expand the platform portfolio. The Director will lead and mentor a team of HR business analysts who are responsible for the enhancement, maintenance, and production support of global and local HR administrative applications. The position is responsible for managing the prioritization and resolution of all escalated technical cases, review and approval of system configuration changes, and coordinating with ITS for any program development work. The position serves as the subject matter expert for Human Resources and Academic projects. Responsibilities include directing cross-functional team members composed of Human Resource, Payroll, IT, Academic Affairs and Program Services team members, and managing/monitoring issues, developing options, escalating to appropriate levels and ensuring proper resolution. The position takes the lead and directs a reporting team responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of standard and ad-hoc Workday HCM reports to meet requests from internal clients and external agencies. In the absence of the Associate Vice President, the position directs and supervises department employees to ensure that transactions and requests are completed on time, services are delivered, and that all department responsibilities are met.

 

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree

Required Experience:
7 years of relevant experience, plus 2-3 years of Workday HCM experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include in-depth experience of the following areas: project management, report analysis, design and development, business process re-engineering, full lifecycle project methodology. Must have experience managing a group of fulltime resources.

Preferred Experience:
5-10 years of experience within a management position; Must have managed 2-3 large systems implementations within the Human Resource and Payroll functional areas.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent analytical, project planning and management, and verbal/written communication skills. Extensive knowledge of human resources concepts and practices. Expertise in the use of databases, data analysis and modeling as management tools. Knowledgeable in the implementation of a metrics program. Familiarity with industry best practice within HCM applications and tools that are available. Ability to generate detailed/complex reporting, analyze data, and present data in a concise and compelling manner.

Knowledge of Workday, PeopleSoft, SQL, Hyperion (Brio)
