Description

The Director of Information Technology will provide the IT leadership, vision and strategy necessary to help Yeshivah of Flatbush continue its traditions of excellence, innovation and leadership that have made the school a world-renowned institution. As an integral member of the senior leadership team, the Director of IT will spearhead strategic IT planning across the organization with 2,100 students from Early Childhood through High School.

Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain an enterprise level network infrastructure supporting 2200
students and 500 faculty and staff members.
Manage, plan and create a yearly budget. Manage technology procurement,
renewals and working with vendors for technology and software acquisitions.
Supervise and support a technology team responsible for 7500
computer/laptop/tablet devices, 150 printers, and 100 SMART boards
incorporating Windows, Apple and Chromebook devices, HP and Xerox printers.
Responsible for the management of centralized software applications designed
for maintaining a successful IT infrastructure. Applications include Active
Directory, Google Workspace, Jamf Pro, Cisco Meraki, GoGuardian, Freshdesk,
Apple School Manager, Print Services, NPS (RADIUS), SCCM, Adobe Admin,
Zoom Enterprise, AWS, Azure, Cloudberry.
Manage, maintain, and support a highly efficient Cisco Meraki network
infrastructure comprising multiple security appliances (connecting 4 locations), 42
switches, and 165 wireless access points.
Update and maintain our SCCM server for deployment of software applications
and operating systems. This includes pre and post configuration settings required
for proper deployment of devices.
Oversee the data processing team including oversight of all of our student and
financial information systems.
This includes the onboarding and offboarding of staff/ students with
accounts (network and Google), data uploads, queries, and data projects
that support our data systems (Student Information System, Financial
Systems, Donor Systems, etc.
Manage and supervise five support technicians and provide Tier-2/3 level support
to all technicians. This includes monitoring HelpDesk ticket activity and training
technicians to provide the best support for implemented software and hardware.
Work directly with the EdTech School Teams to support their needs and
requirements. Directives include software budgeting and purchasing, online
filtering, Chromebook deployment, assessment/exam preparations, best
practices, and more.
Oversee and strategically plan for all technology related operations, policies,
procedures, projects, tasks, grant proposals, budget, purchases, departments,
and new deployments.
Manage compliance with eRate, FERPA, HIPPA, COPPA, CIPPA, Acceptable
Use Policy, Disaster Recovery Policy, Data Security Policy for Staff and Students.
Connect directly with vendors and suppliers to discuss and negotiate current and
future purchasing and pricing.
Provide documentation on all facets of technology including inventory,
instructional.
Spearhead annual Chromebook deployment involving collections and
distribution. This critical process involves precise coordination with departments
and proper supervision for successful implementation.
Responsible for the annual rollover of accounts for Active Directory and Follet
Destiny databases, which includes proper group placements and critical import
processes.
Supporting Cisco or Mitel VOIP System, Access Control Door System and
Security Camera Systems
Other duties as assigned by the Executive Vice President

Supervision:
Supervise the Assistant IT Director/Network Manager, Administrative Assistant, Data
Systems Manager and Data Entry Clerk. Currently, the Elementary School and High
School each have a Coordinator of Technical Services and each have a Technical
Support Specialist Level 1 & 2 that reports to the Assistant IT Director.

CERTIFICATIONS PREFERRED
MCSE Certified, Network+ Certified, A+ Certified, ACMT Certified, Meraki Certified, Google Admin

EDUCATION
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science

WORK HOURS
Full time, 12 month position
