Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain secure campus network, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection; ensure compliance and conduct vulnerability testing.
  • Oversee surveillance, access control, and alarm systems; ensure secure access to critical infrastructure.
  • Manage data backup, disaster recovery, incident response, and secure storage/access controls.
  • Support academic and administrative technology, including SIS, LMS, classroom tools, and operational systems.
  • Evaluate and improve IT operations, policies, procedures, and standards to align with school goals.
  • Manage IT budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships efficiently.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise IT staff; serve as liaison to the broader school community.
  • Deliver cybersecurity training and promote responsible technology use.
  • Support families and students with technology systems.
  • Lead technology projects to enhance security, infrastructure, instructional tools, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and assess applicability to the school’s mission.

Requirements

  • DEC in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of IT leadership experience, with a focus on security.
  • Demonstrated expertise in network, data, and physical security systems.
  • Strong understanding of data protection laws, privacy standards, cybersecurity frameworks, and educational technology standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills, with a collaborative and service-oriented mindset.
  • Microsoft-based experience is an asset.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
