Description

The Director of Information Technology serves as the leader for strategic planning, information architecture, needs assessment, systems selection, implementation, maintenance, and support related to the school’s use of information and communication technology for both administrative and instructional purposes. This position manages the information technology department, supervises IT staff and outside IT contractors, manages the IT budget, and is responsible for the integration and administration of all network, server, communications, and database systems.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree in IT-related field preferred. A minimum of 5 years of IT-related experience, including network and systems administration, strategy creation and implementation, as well as management and supervision. Proven ability to lead a progressive IT group. Experience in iOS and Mac/PC OS, 1:1 deployment projects, and MDM preferred. Knowledge, imagination and drive needed to provide leadership in an educational setting required.

Excellent leadership abilities, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and speaking and writing skills. Highly communicative and collaborative. Ability to analyze complex problems and recommend solutions, exercises strict confidence with sensitive information, and well-versed in articulating technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. Proven focus on customer (faculty/staff and students/families) experience and engagement, and technology’s ability, when implemented smoothly, to enhance relationships and connections to the school mission, culture and community.

Compensation commensurate with experience.
