Exciting opportunity to provide IT leadership in a dynamic JK-12 school that prioritizes the optimal use of technology in its operations and promotes the effective integration of technology in the classroom.

The Director of Information Technology is a member of the management team and is responsible for all technological resources and supporting education, administration and communications. Responsibilities include managing the School's network, wireless technologies, client-server and cloud-based applications, and LAN and WAN connections; managing vendor relationships, including out-sourced relationships; developing and executing the technology plan, establishing procedures and protocols for technology use, developing and managing the IT budget; and supervising the technology staff.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in technology planning, project management, budgeting, and team leadership.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with Microsoft Active Directory, Vmware, SQL databases, and web-based applications, including Google Apps, in a demanding network environment, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Experience with maintaining school-wide electronic mail system, Office 365, G Suite for Education and internet connectivity.
  • Experience in the design, development and support of school-wide information management applications including Blackbaud, PowerSchool, and the prox card system.
  • Experience managing network infrastructure, including Cisco routers, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Demonstrated success in planning and deploying technology resources to support changing organizational priorities, processes and activities.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with current technology trends and in current practice in education technology are a plus.
